bodycounters.com is averaging over 100 hits a day, mostly from stumbleupon. We're also getting a few hits now from the guide forums at chacha, but I'm not a guide so I can't read what they are actually saying. There are some regular visitors that just go directly to the page on their own, I guess they have it bookmarked, and we still get a couple of hits from the wikipedia entry and some people who search google for things like "death count movies" or even more interestingly, "bodycounters."When I was shopping for back to school stuff for my daughter I asked her if she needed a backpack. She said she just wanted a big tote bag. I asked if she wanted to go to Target or the mall or somewhere to look for one and she looked at me like I was suggesting she walk a thousand miles across broken glass. The child does not like shopping. So then I asked her what kind of a bag she wanted so I could just go get her one without her having to endure the torture of shopping with me. She of course said she just wanted something plain and black. I was all ready to go make that happen for her, and then I remembered that the bodycounters.com totebag is pretty roomy and I asked if she wanted one of those instead. She thought that was a fantastic idea so I ordered her one and it arrived at the house right before school started.
Then I remembered that last year she got in trouble for having a Sweeney Todd messenger bag because it had pictures of razor blades on it. She packed up all her supplies in the bodycounters bag anyway and took it to school both yesterday and today, but now I'm waiting for the phone call from the principal wanting to know why my kid is carrying around a bag with a picture of a chalk outline and a gun.
